The Tip Sheet – 2022 Ep 85: The Morning After Reaction Super Show

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

The morning after has rolled around and The Tip Sheet is back with an ensemble cast to try and grasp exactly what transpired last night. Sixties and Forty20 are joined by Mitch, Spiro, Mary K and Clint as they relive the brutal exchanges from the Grand Final Qualifier in Townsville.

Everyone is still very much pinching themselves but also resolute as we now all turn to the biggest game for the Eels in well over a decade. Next Sunday could also be that much sweeter as our NRLW battle for a maiden berth in their big dance tomorrow!

What a great podcast. Ringing members of the TCT family for their off the cuff sentiments. Outstanding.

For me 3 points to Shaun Lane he was outstanding. Absolutely owned that second half. I often wonder how he gets those post contact metres because he almost looks like he is moving slowly. For me he has the most outstanding leg drive. Just so powerful.

2 points to RCG he was at his smashing best and put the cherry 🍒 on top by scoring 2 tries.

1 point was so difficult tossing up between Matterson and Gutho. In the end using stats I went for Matto.

So great to be where we are and deservedly so for the players, coach and all staff involved with the club.

A great way the celebrate the win with the special guests. Watched the game in a pub with a few fellow supporters and I’m surprised I didn’t go through the wonky floor celebrating the tries.

Even after watching the replay this morning it is still hard to process what the team has done. The stats are incredible as they point to a dominant Cowboys team. The tackles in the opposition’s 20 was ridiculously to the Cowboys. But the guts Parra showed was incredible. BA said he wanted the team to peak in the finals and it seems they have done so.

As for points, 3 to Lane and 2 to RCG. And my 1 goes to Sivo. He scored the match winning try and then prevented the match winning try.

What a week it will be.

Hi there. Thank you for the wonderful post game reaction podcasts! It is great listening to fellow Eels tragics. Would TCT happen to know if there is a 2022 team photo available? Thanks

Hi guys, love your coverage of all things Parra. My nephew rang me after the game & said he had a feeling 3 weeks ago that we’d get to the GF so he bought 3 tickets and I’m going! We’re thinking of meeting earlier in the at Parra leagues & hopefully get a shuttle bus from the club to Accor. Any info on this?
