We are just over a week away from the Parramatta Eels launching their 2025 season but in the meantime Tip Sheet has plenty of news from Parradise and the NRL to cover. Sixties and Forty20 bring you the latest from the Parrramatta Leagues Club as the results of the elections and special resolutions are made public. Sixties was also in attendance for the official season launch and recaps all the important details from a big night at CommBank Stadium.
The boys do a final review of the trial result against the Tigers and where the Eels stand heading into Round 1 before reliving another stunning comeback victory for the SG Ball.
The NRL news is unsurprisingly focused on the Round Zero action in Las Vegas and it starts with the big brouhaha inside the Raiders. Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies landed themselves in hot water after a stoush over room arrangements but how serious was the matter? The show then quickly previews all four games before looking at some minor signing news.
The show closes out with a look at the four Junior Representative games on Saturday as the Eels look to overcome the Sharks in the Fiola and Gale and the Panthers in the Matts and Ball.

Phil Gould has no business being in the media. I personally don’t rate him as highly as others, he talks a lot but doesn’t say much. Like you boys said, how many general managers critique other clubs in public.
Sixties, I tried to see the Simon Townsend resemblance, mate I couldn’t see it. What I did see is Chopper Reid, dead ringer and my wife agreed. BTW, you must have a secret stash of your grandmother’s Mercolized Wax, you’d put most 40 year olds to shame.
My son said Forty looks like Aaron Woods. Forty, love your old school milkshake cup, I also use mine to drink Vodka and lime 😀 nothing like a chilled drinking cup.
I love the metal tumblers. Like you said, perfect for any chilled beverage. I might just have to start calling the big fella Chopper moving forwards and we maybe one day we will get his best impression on the podcast one day.
Forty, that tumbler must be seen at least once per episode. It will become your thing.
It’s takes me a while to adjust to change, at first I wasn’t sure if I liked or loved the new intro. Now that I’ve heard it a few times, l love it.
