Hey boys, greats stuff again, I would love to get lomax across or another outside back of his talent and kill. I don’t think we need another ctw or winger that’s struggling to find a spot in another club just so we have depth.

Btw have you heard what’s happened to jjbm?, I know he went down to Melbourne and played in their trial v the dogs but iv checked all their teams in nsw, 2 teams in Queensland cup, and jersey flegg and I can’t see him anywhere. Maybe his injured, who’s knows.

In fairness, with the layout of commbank and the lack of western side seating for members, there should be a roof put over it to make up for the seating issue

Aside from the 800k figure, Lomax is also on record saying he wants to be a right centre. Unfortunately that’s the side Will plays. Sure lomax could play left but it’ll be interesting what parra do as they clearly have a need, a spot and some cash. We need to get it right (and not repeat a waqa Blake type mistake by throwing money at someone who isn’t going to fit in).

Lomax is a very good player, but the price tag must surely be a sticking point. We know that the club will purchase outside backs given the depth issues. But would they spend that big on Lomax. I guess we’ll soon see.

No easy answer but we all know the club can’t continue to keep spots and cash aside for a “potential recruit”. We need to finally use the assets we have (the spots/cash) and go all in on winning. Obviously that doesn’t mean being irresponsible or even signing lomax necessarily but it has to be more than just being linked to “X factor” and other “potential recruits”.

Or do we use some (not all of money) to seduce a young gun centre from other club that’s stuck behind more senior players (eg Penrith with the macleans brothers, isiah iongi etc. that could allow us to use rest of cash elsewhere but of course is more risky.

Ron, I think they also have to factor in what money they want to allocate to upgrades or extensions to players, including some of the rising pathways players. Regardless, they can’t move forward without looking at adding to the outside backs stocks.
