The Tip Sheet – 2023 Ep 83: Flegg March Onwards & Taking Measure Of NRL Finalists

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

Another sprawling episode of The Tip Sheet unwinds this week as Sixties, Forty20 and Clint review and preview all of the action from the Jersey Flegg and NRLW and more.

First up though is a celebration of the efforts of Clinton Gutherson after the captain and fullback took out the Ken Thornett Medal. Typified by his heroics in Parramatta’s final game of the season, Gutherson was a worthy winner.

The Jersey Flegg made it back-to-back wins over the Penrith Panthers as they advanced to week two of the finals. Tehy now take on the Cronulla Sharks as they show both dissects their win and previews their upcoming clash.

It wasn’t as nice a weekend for our NRLW squad as they got taken to task by an overloaded Roosters outfit. With something like 13 international representatives in their ranks, the Roosters field an incomparable line-up and our girls felt their full wrath on Sunday. Heads now turn to their clash with the Gold Coast Titans.

Biggest surprises and dissapointments in 2023 lead the general NRL discussion before the Seb Kris spear tackle takes over the discussion. Sixties revives the suburban finals venue debtate as the Cronulla Sharks host a home game with a palty attendance ceiling and the show finishes with a quick look at each matchup in week one of the NRL finals.
