Parramatta footy is finally back and they are taking on the South Sydney Rabbitohs who are buoyed by the return of Latrell Mitchell. Sixties and Forty20 preview all three grades as they take to the field on Saturday in Round 16.

I think the rabbits have been waiting all year for this match. No other side other than the Eels , give the Souths halves and outside back the latitude and space they crave.
Opposition teams have been in Cody Walkers face all year and he’s been as frustrated as hell. The Eels have very poor line speed, preferring to move as one and looking to adjust a pattern to suit. These tactics will be a god send to Cody, allowing him space and time to position his outside backs, which will include Latrell, to completely dominate us.
If we can somehow improve our line speed, cut down the time Cody has to organise his troops, we can win this but alas , I fear we just don’t have the game to do it. I’m tipping the rabbits to play their best game of their year , destroy us on the flanks and win easily.

Calm down mate, I’ve always been fair and objective. Happy to read YOUR views if you care to post them ! We fix up our deficiencies out wide and we will win and I’ll be very happy !

I’ve never reached the stage where I can put the slick wide shift curse to bed. We’re definitely better at defending it but I’d say not in the top echelon at all. We manage it better off high completions, good discipline and Moses getting the kicking game on song, ie when we limit the opportunity. Here’s hoping that formula is working, no argument that Souths can make it look like a training run.

Let’s hope we can at least hope them out wide and concentrate on the power game through the middle. I still believe the key is making sure Walker has no time.

This is gonna be a cracking game.(shame about the venue). Hopefully our tenacity to outlast in these close games throughout the year will put us in good stead. Keep them down in there half with massive defensive efforts and we can negate Luttrell’s brilliance
    Get stuck into them King.

We need the King at his best here. And by that I mean running support lines through the middle. Driving the forwards to stay on the game plan.
