    Great podcast guys.
Still annoyed with the loss to Bulldogs.
Gutho cannot read the room. We are concerned. On-field leadership and accountability is lacking and it rears its ugly head with these games.
Hopefully a better performance against the Roosters.
    Go Eels!!

    Hi Guys’,

Enjoy the new pod format but feel for you all having to break it down after bad losses like Monday. Thanks for all the hard work.

Agree with some who have mentioned Gutho needs to lift his body language and professionalism. Yes, we get it talking to the press is a drag but its often the only way supporters get insight into plahers/coaches thought process. Look at Todd Payten or B Slater as good, expressive coaches post match.

Its unfortunately, not hard to draw a line from the attitude one displays publicly to the one displayed privately being the same and results point that this week. Lethargy, lack of interest and care.

Also, if its true we have dropped N Brown and suggested He go elsewhere, its surprising – he played a lone hand, in many games as our forwards leader in days gone by & he’s certainly not why we lost on Monday.

I’m a bit surprised by the Brown news. He has been down on form but I’d back him to find it again.

Steele, we discussed it in greater detail in today’s pod. Nathan Brown is in a similar situation to Matto last year. Matto was missing games due to concussions and suspension. Missed selection in week one of finals. Got a recall to the bench for week 2. Lifted big time and has continued that into 2022. He’s now in demand. Will Brown respond similarly? We’ll soon see.

Good listen as always. I agree that Opacic has been a good servant for the club. Never spectacular but very reliable and did the job when asked. I do hope Monday was some weird aberration otherwise the second half of the season could be a long one.

Whatever happens with Tom, I’m good with. He’s worth keeping, has been a good acquisition. But if a better opportunity is available, I wish him well.

With the mail about Brown dropping back to Cup. It would indicate that there will be a change on the bench possibly 2.

Is this a fallout from the Dogs game or a reaction to the extension demand?
