The Cumberland Throw

2022 Parramatta Eels Junior Representatives Gallery

The Cumberland Throw had the privilege to attend the jersey presentations for both the Harold Matthews and the SG Ball last Friday. Four of Parramatta’s most promising young NRL talents in Haze Dunster, Sean Russell, Jakob Arthur and William Penisini spoke to the two squads, passing on their own experiences, the wisdom they gained and the proverbial torch itself to help light the way towards a potential career in first grade.

It was a wonderful experience and the very presence of those four young men reinforced how vital the pipeline of junior football and talent development is to the club. Equally so the boys and girls of the three junior representative classes of 2022 will have every chance to blaze their own path to the NRL and NRL in Blue & Gold.

Unfortunately the Eels weren’t able to kickstart their 2022 campaigns with first up victories in Round 1, falling to the Sydney Roosters across all three grades. You can read about the blow-by-blow action right here on TCT. In spite of the minor setback here is plenty to be excited about through the Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Tarsha Gale and you can follow all three of those journeys right through the season on The Cumberland Throw!

For those who follow our junior rep reports and our live match blogs, or even those who get to some matches, this should help to put names to faces.
Reminder, if you touch the image you will see the player’s name. Double tap for the larger image.

Liked the Fox piece on the Eels prospects for the upcoming season. Where at least Michael Ennis was able to give a glass half full account of the Eels prospects for 2022.

It is a lot better than the Staff writers so far looking through the bottom of an empty glass. In saying that he made it clear he is working for the Eels now.

Even allowing for his current position, the fact is he is now well informed as to the depth at the club, including pathways, and how the squad has been preparing.

    Well done to you guys.
To be able to follow the juniors through to seniors with the information that is given is brilliant.
A real fan site that everyone should be proud of.
