One podcast simply wasn’t enough to encapsulate Week 1 of the NRL finals! The boys are back for a second crack at it all as Chris Warren joins the show to lend his takeaways to the mix. Warren talks Sixties and Forty20 through his journey in sports media through the Western Reds, London Broncos and now SEN 1170 and shares his insights into the 2021 finals.

TLT is upon us but before we get there Sixties and Forty20 go through the three other clashes in the first week of the finals and just what stood out for them. With Melbourne dismantling Manly, the Titans snatching defeat from the jaws of glorious victory and Souths ambushing the Panthers there is plenty to discuss!

Finally we wrap the show up with the announcement of Saturday’s teams. Penrith look to be at full-strength and are certainly a formidable proposition while the Eels welcome back a familiar face.

With the fellas dedicating their energies to extra podcasts this week, regular columns such as Bumpers Up and Whiskey Musings are on the back burner. We therefore thank the usual sponsors of those posts, Starr Partners Auburn and Narellan.

Go the Eels!

Great interview with Chris Warren. I listen to him a bit on SEN. Like his passion.

The penalty try for Penisini was as justified as the obstruction on Dylan Brown.

I know I should get over this but I am absolutely over the pile on the Eels receive on any negative that can be conceived. It is almost religious in vigour the way it occurs

Some of the media quotes include “The Eels are doing their late season fade “ or “flat track bullies” and the one that Hussey hates “the much maligned Moses.
None of this stuff is professional analysis.

Thanks for listening John. Chris has a terrific program. Knows his stuff and he’s outstanding with his interviews too. What about the narrative from Crawley and Hooper on 360 tonight! Ridiculous!

Tks guys, enjoyed listening to Chris Warren, I think Rabs is also an Eels supporter.
The rule is quite clear on Gutho’s ‘drop kick’, I can’t believe how many people were happy to claim it was illegal. In dreamland.
A mate who follows Penrith is suddenly not confident, the team and some key players are just not performing as earlier, Isaiah Yeo being one of the few who are.

Isaiah Yeo is one of those players if given the chance to sign him, you would sign even if you didn’t have a spot for him.

      Good player, good leader

Cheers BDon. Chris has certainly had an interesting career and he’s a good bloke. I’m a massive fan of Yeo – he’s long been one of their best.

I am watching the Knights game again. Tyson Frizell was in the dead rat position when he hit the ground.

How did the doctor allow him to come back into the game?

It is now halftime and the Knights have made 10 interchanges already.
