The Tip Sheet – 2021 Episode 23: Turn & Turnabout – Eels Eye Bounceback Victory Over Rabbitohs

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

Better late than never! Sixties and Forty20 reconvene for a belated episode of The Tip Sheet after a hectic week for both. With the benefit of extra time to reflect back on the loss, the duo talk about where it all went wrong for the Eels against the Sea Eagles in Round 11. They then turn to the fallout from the game including the suspension of Reagan Campbell-Gillard.

There was fantastic news for the club today with both Mitchell Moses and Ryan Matterson either inking new deals or taking up an option for a further year. The importance of both retentions along with Parramatta’s increasingly impressive retention processes is discussed as the club secures important pieces for sustained success.

The Tip Sheet’s most popular segment is back as Joey Grima jumps on board to recount the Junior Representative Awards Night and tackle an in depth mail bag. As always, Joey’s insights into rugby league add a much needed level of depth and nuance to the inane blatherings of Forty20 and Sixties!

From there it is the massive preview of the Saturday triple header against the Rabbitohs. The fellas discuss a massive contest in which two Top 4 teams are looking to bounce back from tough Round 11 losses.

Hi guys, excellent content on your podcast as usual. Keep it up. Just one tiny technical gripe. I found that 40/20’s volume was quite low, whereas 60s voice was quite high. Had to continually raise and lower the volume. Otherwise loved the cast guys.

    Cheers.

Your absence from the posts was conspicuous but who could blame you. I don’t know how Forty got the grades out.

Papali’i has been outstanding on the edge this year, do you think that BA would be tempted during SOO to move him to the middle?

Personally I think that we would be weakening one strength to plug a problem. I think that there’s plenty of options to fill the middle.

The retention has been outstanding with Mitch and Ryan extending. Big challenge now will be Gutherson and Cartwright. Would be nice to tie those two down quickly.
