Will be interesting to see what boys that have not been named in the SG.Ball squad that might come back after preseason with u20s. players Tui – Utiokamanu – Parry – Curran – Kaufusi – Founa – Dunster – Brown – Aukafolau

Not expecting players to come back like – Tui – Utiokamanu – Kaufusi – Parry
Speculation is a player signed else where – Curran
Players that might come back – Founa – brown – Dunster – Aukafolau All depending how they all go pre season.

It isn’t ideal to lose a player such as Curran, but I don’t believe that Parra are about to lose any sleep over it. Sometimes a player will take short term rewards over long term gain. This young kid may have done just that.

Thank you for the update 40. Great read and good to see the names. I can provide a small background on one or two of these boys. Samuel Kharwin, played football with Doonside primary hears ago. Had him in a junior school district team, and the boy was born in Liberia. Nicknamed him the ‘Liberian express’ for good reason. Was v raw. Glad to see him picked, and i was wondering how tall he may be now. He was v quick as an 11 yr old. Lovely kid back then. Joseph masters is also a Sydney west boy. Was quiet… Read more »

Thanks for that Forty. I am very very happy for PJ Vaigalu and I do not need to go in to why, but this young bloke is a talent and is coming back from a badly broken leg. He has put his head down and bum up and worked hard, good luck young mate. thanks again to Ham and yourself.I am also peed off about how some clubs leave it to others to develop players sit back and throw silly money at them, it is just wrong

So has Curran left the club, or has he yet to decide his immediate future?

Btw, Joshua Uta was crowned under-16s player of the year in New Zealand last year. He has received some very impressive representative honours across the ditch, and is a stocky middle forward-cum-dummy half with a high work-rate. However, he didn’t come to us direct as he was first spotted by the Illawarra Steelers.

Chris, is Josh Uta a out & out dummy half.? Or can he play other positions.? What are Joshua’s strengths, Ball work.? Speed.? Defence.? Endurance .? ect

There are some good Hookers at Parra so will make things interesting if he is as good as your sayong

There are a few lines there Benny, regarding your last comment, but this is a respectable site..

Mitchy. Sorry mate what do you mean.? I was asking a simple question, knowing Parra have a few players in that position, and wanting to know the kids strengths. As it would make things interesting in the selection process. There is allways someone out there better and no body is Guaranteed a spot.

Sorry mate i was referring to the ‘hookers’ part of your comment. Thats all no offence meant. In response Kyle Schneider was superb on Harold Matts this year. Luke Sommerton came off bench too and at times Schneider played half.

He is a lock-forward in the old vernacular who can fill in at dummy-half. I’ve never actually watched him play. It’s just what I’ve read about him. I noticed that his was a new name on the Parramatta junior players list and just googled his details. How will he fair at Parramatta? Well, that’s up to him and for the coaching department to decide. But he does come well credentialed. It’s very disappointing to lose Curran, but this just opens the door for other players such as Filia Utoikamanu, Josh Carr, Beni Valu and Michael Tupou, among them. It must… Read more »

Cheers Chris
Just looked the kid up, seems like he can play, achieved a lot in Nz. Good luck to the kid. Seems like he has talent. Can’t wait to watch him play in the trials.

Josh Schuster signed a long term deal with Manly last year but he wanted to come back to Parra. We wouldn’t allow him to break his contract with Manly.

Remind me now, Manly is that new rugby league club in both the Parramatta and Penrith district comps that is playing out of Blacktown, right? Also known as the GWS Sea Eagles!

Chris you really know how to ruin a nice relaxing day. I’m sure there are some clowns running and trying to ruin this great game of ours.

Thanks Mitchy. Forty or Sixties do you guys know about the new rookie system.?

I’d honestly be trying to piece together little bits that I’ve heard so I don’t think I could explain it thoroughly. Maybe Forty can. I believe that French may have been on a rookie contract this year.

Only three Jaydens and one Brayden. I’m sure the Sharks junior rep teams will have twice that many.
