Yes sir, yes ma’am, Freedom Crichton Ropati is set to make her NRLW debut in the final regulation round of the 2026 season to put a wonderful cap on a heck on of a individual year for the brilliantly exciting flanker. Freedom was one of the stars in Parramatta’s all-conquering Tarsha Gale Cup squad and carried that form into the NSWRL Women’s Premiership where she scored EIGHTEEN, yes that is indeed 1-8 eighteen, tries in just 9 games.

So yeah, I think she earned the call up!

Freedom’s debut does come at the expense of powerhouse right winger Martha Mataele who has enter concussion protocols for the second time this season I believe. Those are big boots to fill but I have every belief in Freedom to do just that.

Steve Georgallis has made a couple of minor modifications to the team who stunned the Canberra Raiders on Sunday night. Well maybe not so much modifications as ratification with Round 10 Late Mail moves now consolidated into the following Team List Tuesday. Those moves would be the switching of his dummy halves with Layne Morgan to start over Taneka Todhunter while Chloe Jackson gets the starting nod over Fontayne Tufuga.

The Eels battled hard for their third victory on the weekend and showed bucket loads of courage in the big upset win over the Raiders. Parramatta’s NRL team also produced an inspired performance in their penultimate game before dishing out an insipid effort against the Dragons the week after. Hopefully the girls have taken the lessons of that loss to heart and can close out the season at home on a high as they host the Cowboys.
