Williams to an edge, Hopgood starts at prop, Walker starts at lock, Kelma to bench, Doorey drops off, Joash to bench
I’d like to see that. Joash could cover hooker or spice up the halves if we needs some speed and footwork through the ruck with tired manly forwards.

100% agree with Hopgood at prop. He just needs to run hard and tackle his guts out, reminiscent of peak Cotter. It really is not working for him at all in the 13 trying to overplay his hand. And with Walker there now its not needed.

    Thanks fellas,

Another good podcast. Interesting developments on the Galvin media rumour mill post production. I think I will wait for relevant clubs to make their announcements. Then I’ll know what is happening – maybe.

Good to see the Eels have extended four young chaps this date. Looking forward to their ongoing contributions. Hopefully Penisini can pick up the form, there is a good player there, he just needs to regain some mojo.

Brilliant news fellas confirming the extensions of big Tuivaiti, Mataele, Volkman, Penisni.

All very young players with a lot of growth ahead of them. Loving the fact our club is backing our younger players and rewarding them for their efforts.

Some of these players will be in the NRL for another 5-10 years you would think and they should progress lot as players for the eels!

Good times ahead! And congrats to them. I’m especially impressed with Sam Tuivaiti.

I feel like if he can keep working hard he has a bright future as a first grade NRL player for the mighty eels for years to come. 💛 💙

I hope that’s not a sign we missed out on an important signing?
All the pundits are tipping Galvin to Bulldogs? It doesn’t make sense but stranger things have happened. I personally would have thought DCE would go to Bulldogs not Galvin. I guess we wait.
But before we wait sign JAC!!

Pete one thing that worries me snot Galvin is he has stated apparently he wants better coaching to further his progression as a player..

Do we at the eels tick those boxes? With a coach with 11 NRL games as a head coach?

My only assumption is Moses guiding him could qualify us as a worthy destination if he’s taking into consideration what he can learn playing elsewhere.

Now the bulldogs have an assistant coach over there who was a coach to Galvin at Westfields I think and Galvin loves him.

Gus is acting strange and playing his mind games and lying saying he is not interested more or less… but he is obviously.

Dogs are making a play at him and keeping it quiet to try not to disturb sexton.

AND they could make the grand final this year! Galvin may see this as a better opportunity.

All I know is that if Galvin loves parra but goes to the stinking dogs It shows you he has the wrong mentality.

I want Galvin too but if he tries to make a bidding war between us and dogs and he wants a million or something..?

I am ok with it if Jason moves on to other opportunities for 2026.

          Agree Muz,
Gus always plays mind games to throw off the scent or just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons.
The truth is Bulldogs and Roosters don’t really need Galvin. Panthers and Eels are two more likely options for a 6. But if we miss out on Galvin there will be others.

          1. Muz

Agree Pete and Gus is a liar, sneaky and probably played an indirect part in Galvin even wanting to leave so early. Blowing smoke up his ass, saying his the best young player he has ever seen, etc.

All that does is make a kid already unhappy want to exit earlier than his original contract.. and what do you know?

Gus and the dogs are interested. lol.

But the mail is as 60’s had noted, and many other respectable sources have suggested, Galvin is highly likely to be coming to parramatta.

I can see his manager using dogs to bolster his worth and try to raise his value by gathering interest from the dogs.

But it sounds like it is highly likely he ends up at eels where he wants to be apparently.

Galvin himself has liked comments on social media weeks ago where fans commented things like “come back home to parra”

Gus is a snake though and looking like his club could be in the grand final or close to it this season..

This is my only worry – dogs & Gus are coming from a very strong position in the negotiations, coming first and now proving to have an elite coach at bulldogs.

While we are bottom 4 and a coach who’s unproven more or less.

The media hype around dogs getting him I think is partly their bias against the eels, they don’t like us.

Plus hooper is a tigers fan and would hate us getting him, then Anasta is a dogs fan and former bulldog himself.

Nobody in the media really believes in us, or likes us, even Moses was doubted for years up until he more or less won origin for NSW, breaking a long record.

And even then, many of those same “experts” this year didn’t even have Moses in the NSW team.

They are absolute idiots and have less common sense than most commentators on the Cumberland throw.

Hard to take them seriously. Main stream media is about narrative control and engagement generation for their social media posts to gain traction & boost viewership. Lol
