NSW Cup Team List

Round 8, 2:00PM Saturday, Redfern Oval

As expected, Kruz Niutili-Schmidt has been handed the keys to the team with the PCL injury to Brendan Hands. Kruz will start in the #9 with Meni Luke provided support from the bench. Nathan Cayless rejigs his back line and forward pack ever so slightly as Haze Dunster returns on the right wing with Samuel Loizou then taking over the left sideline. Wiremu Greig and Toni Mataele start in the front row with Ryan Matterson switching to lock forward to round out a big middle trio.

The Eels take part in a Redfern Oval double-header against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The Bunnies are running last in the NSW Cup with 1 win to their name. Obviously it presents a terrific shot for the Eels to bank another valuable win but as we all know – these games are not won on paper and ladder positions. Parramatta will need to keep plugging away at the same effort areas that have carried them to 3rd place on the ladder.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team List

Round 8, 12:00PM Saturday, Redfern Oval

Jayden Ambichi slides straight back into the team to replace the injured Apa Twidle as the Eels take on the Rabbitohs in Round 8. Once again Cooper Fuller has been named in the halves to partner Matthew Hunter but there should be a strong consideration that Josh Lynn could come into the team ahead of kickoff.

William Lewis gets a shot from the interchange bench this week – good to see the young backrower back in the Flegg. Joining the extended squad is Javahn Stevenson-Hala who gives Jordan Rankin another beefy option to reinforce the ruck should he so choose.

The Eels are humming along beautifully in the Flegg and can consolidate their place inside the Top 4 with a victory over South Sydney on the weekend.

Looks like Martyn is injured again. Not named in RM.

Hopefully Dunster is officially back this week. He needs an injury free run because his form to the start the year was very good.

Latu was meant to be back round 7 I thought. Real want him to get big minutes.
