There are another five games on the weekend docket headlined by a Western Sydney derby in the NRL and another trip to Brisbane in the NRLW.

Sixties and Forty20 power through a moutain of footy previews starting with a huge clash in the Jersey Flegg as the Eels zero in on the finals. Standing between them and that destination this week are the Penrith Panthers in a must win match-up.

The HNWP are up against the Bulldogs while the NSW Cup play curtain raiser to the NRL against the Panthers. Another flight to Brisbane awaits our NRLW squad as they take on the Cowboys. With both teams entering the round at 1-1, can the Eels break parity on the ladder and climb higher?

A shock win over the Warriors has ignited a bit of passion for the Friday night battle againt the reigning (and reigning [and reigning]) premiers. The undermanned Eels stunned the Panthers late last season, can they produce the same kind of magic this week?

It would seem that the loss of Blaize Talagai has meant the retention of Bailey Simonssen. At a rumoured offer to Blaize of 1.55 million dollars over three years I’m confident that this is the better of the two possible outcomes. Talk of moving Clint from full back seems pretty silly given jis current form.
