The weekend wrap covers Parra’s important upset win over the Cowboys while the NSW Cup got off their duck egg with a hard fought victory over the Bears.

Hardly spotted 40s but that 60s guy was in every frame.
As much as I love his enthusiasm, im afraid it world drive me crazy sitting next to that fellow with his never ending commentary and his jumping up and down. Why dont ppl just stay seated. Its the best viewing stadium there is. Nobody needs to stand up.

Yes, the bloke that recorded the Vlog had Clint and I in the background throughout, and Forty occasionally came into shot. To be honest, I was too engrossed in the game to notice what was happening.

    Thanks fellas

Good news on Lomax. We need him this year though. Our pack is ageing, our spine is largely in its prime. We need to strike while the iron is hot (or at least warm). Also think he’s a short-mid term centre, with the ability to move to full back. He’s playing well on the wing, but I can’t imagine moving him out there is going to be the motivation he needs to hit potential.

On the Cows win, a win is a win. But I thought we were embarrassingly bad particularly in the first half. The ref piggy backed us into the game along with a bit of blind luck. We were better in the second half, but it felt like the Cows started chasing the scoreboard. I also don’t think they are a great team – theyve not beaten anyone notable this season, and I’ve tipped them to miss the 8. As much as it may seem, I’m not looking for negatives, but I need to see a lot more from the Eels to change my mind about our premiership credentials after the shame-fests agains the Tigers and Raiders.

Mick B, we described some of the footy played in the first half as amongst their worst. But let’s give some credit about the second half. The team found their mojo without Moses. They earned the win there. Can they repeat the second half effort this week, and for 80 minutes. We’ll soon see.

It’s relatively easy to think that Zac Lomax is a FB. For now however he is a good fit at Centre given he does not want to play wing.

His feelings probably were I go to the Eels, Gutho will retire before Sloan, happy days.

Good recruitment all involved at the Eels. BA was all over this recruitment. It is hard to deny that the Eels coach has an eye for talent.

This is the type of recruitment we need more of – except faster!!

It was March 2023 when we first heard we were after an “x-factor”. It’s taken over 12 months to sign and over 2 years before he runs out in blue and gold.

Another throughly entertaining podcast, thank you gentleman.
So relieved Lomax is officially signed, the better he performed the more nervous I became. I was waiting for another club to pounce given his current form. Two more young, fast, outside backs thanks Mr O’Neil.
