The Tip Sheet – 2023 Ep 96: A New NRLW Coach

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

The Parramatta Eels have a new NRLW coach! Steve Georgallis has joined the club for the next two years as the coach of the NRLW. The Tip Sheet and Sixties, Forty20 and Clint discuss the new appointment in depth.

The Eels are also losing a staff member with Nathan Brown departing the club at the end of the year. Brown’s role will also be handled be Georgallis and the boys wish Nathan all the best.

Curtis Scott has been linked to the club once again and the show looks at the merits of his potential acquisition before Sixties dishes out the latest from training as Dylan Brown and Maika Sivo return.

Vegas again leads the NRL news with the code dropping a brand new hype video. Did they get it right? Will it appeal to America? Initial impressions are positive although Forty20 finds some humour in the footage used.

The Bulldogs and Wests Tigers are in the thick of things in the player market – as always. Canterbury have their eyes on Connor Tracey and Addin Fonua-Blake while Wests are preparing to go all in with Jarome Luai. Do the moves make sense for each club and are they enough to release them from the bottom of the ladder?

Are Scolarii and Hill trial and train?
Have heard Hill is very fast but like the look of Scolari.
Looks like a hard runner of the ball.

I agree with this. There would be many skeletons in closets about all sorts of players we don’t know about. If we knew everything about everyone we’d likely not have an NRL!

For Parra, we need some talent injected in the backline. If Curtis Scott does that, great outcome. Also to be clear I’m not condoning everything he’s done in the past of course…..
