    Great podcast guys.
Great points about our lack of home games.
All the best Kiddy, I figure this was in the pipeline for a while as the interview process etc. I think he was allowed to explore other options knowing our defence has been on the nose.
Flanagan at Bulldogs is bad for us because he knows our systems too well. He’ll probably get Ennis to assist so hopefully no tampering. My feeling is Flanagan with Gus won’t end well. Gus has a five year contract with five year option??
I hope we can bounce back at home.
    Go Eels!!

Cheers Pete. I’m not so sure how aware the Eels were about Kiddy. I reckon it was done quite quickly from their perspective.
I’d like to think that Ennis would remain with us next year.
If we can’t bounce back at home I’ll be stunned

Well said Pete, lets see who has ended a relationship with Gus well? Not many…..its a soap opera wherever he is in my view. More spin than the late and great SK Warne.

Milo I have a Gus story that I am not prepared to share on here. However I am sure that one day you and I will likely meet up and I am happy to share with you.

Hi John, i would love to pls mate; I am currently o/seas in London. I will be back mate, and would like to meet up eventually up at The Entrance etc. I assume you’re still up there in Gods Country…

Sixties, i think he is but as you know the media or certain sections are always blowing his trumpet. I lost a lot of respect for him years ago….He never seems to leave clubs better off, but i say that Penrith did win a comp a few years after, but yes I think he is living off past glories.

After the Panthers beat us last year I was devastated for weeks. I had countless people coming up to me telling how we were robbed. That made it harder to let go.

One of the problems living in a small town is that everyone new I was an Eels supporter. The good thing about living at The Entrance is that there are no Panthers supporters.

I am with Sixties. Being robbed is far worse than being flogged.

    Ky Rodwell not playing?

Great to see Marata back. Eels 28-12 over Manly. I look forward to a home game. Seems like it has been an eternity.

Furthermore on home games. We have a tough draw at the back end of the season. Probably done to boost television ratings. The plus though out of that is that 6 of the last 8 will be at Commbank stadium.

We know that BA’s intent this year was to finish the season strong instead of the late fade so with more home games after the bye that will help. I can’t attend but still looking forward to the Manly game. I’m quietly confident. As for the Dogs, interesting times. As long as there are competing factions trying to wrest power from each other in the boardroom the club will struggle. A bit like Parra a few years ago.

      1. Shaun

Yep.Having a stable board has been one of the key reasons in Parra becoming a stronger team. I don’t miss the days of constant infighting at all.

Somtimes myself and sixties butt a few point of views even since our days on 1ee. But how good are these podcasts. Spirro is definitely going to make it big on Radio an absolute natural with great knowledge of the game and sixties n forty are good to listen to aswell – chief

I had the pleasure of tuning into this one last night (uk) time while i was on a walk. Great listen and great insight from all into the weekend and also the current NRL news. Spiro has some great insights into the news and his comments around Flanagan are interesting, i would be happy for him going to C’bury but my question is more a moral one. Should he be allowed back as a coach? I would not want him anywhere near our club, and i do not care what sort of coach etc. he is.
Parra to get a win up tonight.

    1. sixties

Milo, his track record of not abiding by NRL sanctions is poor, but as long as Flanagan stays away from the Eels, I don’t care which club he ends up at.
