We have a trio of games against the Wests Tigers (and Magpies) for the men and a trip to Wagga Wagga for the ladies as they play in Magic Round against the Newcastle Knights. The Tip Sheet is all over it as the Flegg, NRLW and NRL all look to build on tough, gritty efforts last week that all barely failed to yield points while the NSW Cup have a chance to consolidate on a season beat performance following their upset win over the Panthers.
Sixties and Forty20 preview the quartet of games (it is a global bye in the NSWWP) in what will be an action packed Sunday for the Eels.

I think Parra will win on Sunday; all the talk of Wests and Douehi etc I am glad the focus is on them. I get the favs concern but the players do not read the papers remember!

We seem to be improving noticeably in some fundamental areas of the game such as sustained focus on defensive application and structure, we only have to show more composure in key moments (cutting out some ridiculous brain snaps would be helpful) for the good stuff to look even better. Wests will have to cobble together one of those one-off ‘perfect’ days to match us if we can reduce the rubbish moments. Then again I’ve never forgotten that Jackson Hastings last minute field goal for Wests to beat us in a game I thought we easily outpointed them.
