The traditional Easter Monday classic is upon us as the Parramatta Eels and the Wests Tigers clash on the long weekend staple in Round 5. The Tip Sheet previews a fascinating match-up with the resurgent Tigers meeting the wounded Eels. Can the Blue & Gold prevail amidst questions surrounding their depth and defensive approach?
Sixties and Forty20 cover the three senior games across the Jersey Flegg, NSW Cup and the main event in the NRL. All three grades are feeling the ripple effects on the injuries in first grade, how prepared is each team to cover for them?

After seeing Melbourne get flogged / unable to score against panthers I think this game is 50/50 where’s before storm VS panthers game I had tigers as stronger favourites in my mind.
As many have noted Mitch usually gets up for tigers games, so hopefully an interesting match takes place and we flog them.
On a side note – dragons are apparently after a fullback. All players contract negotiations have been stalled. While we complain about our club… thank god we are not saints.
Also interesting that ryles saw gutho & RCG were done before anyone else really did, both of them truly went downhill / close to their retirement it seems after leaving the eels.
I know our R & R cops flak but we must at least recognise we could be also in saints position had ryles not made big roster decisions when he came to us, this modern repeat 6 again game style is clearly not suited for large power players and men who are above 30 generally speaking.
Muz, Tyson Frizell showing at the Knights how a 34 year old can make a positive contribution. He’s a fit, athletic, hard-edged,non-complaining,never-distracted, keep-it-simple, 110% percenter who accepts, in fact relishes, his bench role to run and tackle hard and set an example. Interesting that Holbrook exited one Saffiti brother then challenged the other to lift all aspects, so he’s got 2 Origin level old blokes to mix in with a young forward pack starting to function like winners.
