The boys ask – did the Eels peak in their rousing 30-10 victory over the Roosters? Josh Addo-Carr rings in a mega milestone as his 200th NRL cap approaches this week while Dean Ritchie was unhappy with the blowback he copped after putting Jason Ryles in his crosshairs.

Des Hasler and now Adam O’Brien are goooorne. What is next for the Titans and Knights? Stephen Crichton has been grubbing it up while Brandon Smith is facing drug and gambling charges from the QLD police. The show carefully navigates these sensitive topics and offers what insight they can into the matters.

Brandon Smith is Innocent until proven otherwise but, his behavior over the years confirms he has the thinking ability of a young teenager. He simply cannot grow up which suggests he never will.

Thanks for another interesting episode fellas. Enjoyable as always.

I can’t 100% agree with your comments on Dylan Brown. I’m disappointed he is leaving, he is a good player and represented the Eels well. However, it always seemed many of us were waiting to take the next step up, particularly in attack, and I don’t think that really happened. Perhaps that is harsh but it is how I feel and I do think we may have paid overs for him at times relative to performance while waiting for some form of potential to be realised. Again, while that is a criticism I still think he has been a good player.

Your brief comments on how you think Dylan made me wonder. Forty I think mentioned maybe this is the opportunity to step out of the Mitch Moses shadow and prove doubters like me wrong. I would suggest he has had the opportunity over the last few years given how little Mitch has played and hasn’t really grasped it. Nonetheless less I wish him well at the Knights and still wish he had remained with the Eels.

The NRLW salary cap issue is a cause for concern. I hadn’t realised how it has/had/will be working. Not sure why the NRL would allow it to be.

Finally, really happy to see the change in attitude and effort by the firsts agains the Roosters. I’m glad you mentioned Ryley Smith’s little efforts that may not necessarily be reflected in stats. His harassment of Savala had him referred to on Kayo as both a terrier and a chihuahua. When I helped out on my dad’s milk run in the mid eighties the most annoying dog was a little chihuahua called Jose, it just never stopped harassing you until you got past it’s “territory “. Smith has shown that, despite the rules, you can still pressure the kicker in modern day NRL. Kudos to him.

    Cheers and thanks again.
