A fascinating round. Will Bayley Simonssen take the field? How will Dylan go, back and in the centres? How will the recently-promoted Cup players handle their opportunities for further development? How will the NRL squad, so much improved, handle the pressure of favouritism, a game they’re expected to win pretty well? A great test of how we’re going in several ways.

It’s gunna be a real awkward game for 1st grade they really should win this but the cowboys are a very plucky side who can score points. It gets said every week but high completions is really key. The cowboys can not handle sustained pressure there defence is woeful. If we want to get in an error riddled points shoot out with them it will be a hard watch cause I think we’ll come off second best.

Absolutely true about completions. And the Cowboys should be performing much better – look at their roster. We hope they won’t click into gear this week.

This Bailey situation is a blessing in disguise. He’s not good enough defensively for centre (and doesnt have soft hands either). And he isn’t better than fox or lomax at wing. Get rid of him and swap for Phil Sami or Akp.

Baileys attitude towards him/his management likely leaking this stuff to the media is very poor in my opinion. I doubt there’s a way back for him in this team after this.

He’s unable to speak with anyone Chief. As far as I’m concerned if he asked for a release and we agree, then I don’t think we should have any cap liability.

Ron, this whole situation has been disappointing. We have been huge fans of Bailey as he gives his all on the field. But if he’s asked for a release more than once, it can only go in one direction.

Some fans saying Bailey is ‘A-gun’ and ‘should be in the team every week’ I feel thats an exaggeration. What team exactly would Bailey walk into? We’ve had so many injuries and our bar set to mediocrity for so long that some forget what ‘A-gun’ actually is.
Bailey reportedly has now asked for 3 releases and was a ‘no-show’ at training on Friday and has now been granted a leave of absence. These types of players are the reason we have never really been able to make the big step up in consistent performances. All mostly from the same agent as the old coach which is never a good idea.
Ryles is dealing with a tough job and bringing in decent young blokes that want to have a dig and are not entitled. Well done to Ryles!

Interesting listen Sixties; look I think the weather will bring the teams closer together- albeit look at the points table.
If Parra cut the errors / Complete well and kick well in general play we can source the win
Be interesting to see how the forwards match up.
Brown at centre cns only be better.
