The Tip Sheet – 2022 Ep 89: Special Edition, Roads To The Grand Finals

The TIp Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

The Tip Sheet goes live from Jacks Bar & Grill one final time before it is all settled on the decisive Sunday of the season. Sixties and Forty20 retread the roads to the Grand Final for both the NRL and NRLW and are joined by a host of guests in the process.

It all kicks off with a chance appearance of a guest in the audience who happened to catch the boys preshow to chat. Pete, one of the faithful who made the pilgrimage to Townsville last week, talks Sixties and Forty20 through his incredible experience in the cauldron on North Queensland.

We couldn’t do a final chat on the NRLW ahead of their dance with destiny without Mary K so we were pumped to have her back. The unique character and chemistry of Dean Widders’ squad is the focus throughout as the trio look at how the ultimate underdogs can engineer one final upset against the Newcastle Knights.

Finally the show closes out with fellow TCT founder Mitch running his eye over the journey of Brad Arthur and his men. Mitch, a legendary optimist, shares his seasons lows and highs and the critical turning points for the Blue & Gold. It all wraps up with the trio calling their shots for Sunday looking at who will stand up and how the Eels can end the 36-year-old drought.

  1. Shaun

To echo Mary, The Tip Sheet was a welcome means to process a loss. So thanks for turning up then and of course the wins during the year. Always a must listen. Enjoy tomorrow. Dylan Brown for the Clive Churchill. First try scorer, well you know who my money is on. Go you Eels!
