The Tip Sheet – 2022 Ep 56: Wild Eels Look To Win The West

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

While they have struggled for traction in recent weeks, the Parramatta Eels have a golden opportunity to sweep the reigning premiers in Round 20. Sixties and Forty20 breakdown all three grades in the games against Penrith this weekend with the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup also set for pivotal clashes in their respective grades.

Even without the services of Jarome Luai and Stephen Crichton, the Panthers are a truly formidable pine up from 1-17. The boys discuss what it takes to beat them and reflect and how the Eels managed that elusive feat back in Round 9. The focus switches to tomorrow night and who needs to fire, what the Blue & Gold need to go and how the Parramatta might be able to crack the vaunted Penrith defensive line.

Rational!? You dare to mention being rational in context of the Eels? What witchcraft is this? Never do it again. Anyway, I’m strangely calm and even looking forward to the game. Maybe I’ve just accepted our fate or hope still burns. Won’t be able to get up to Jack’s after this game but hope to before the season is out. RCG first try scorer. Sivo another double.
