The Tip Sheet – 2022 Ep 3: Preseason Hits Its Peak As Junior Reps Hit The Field

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

The NRL and NRLW squads are powering through the final stretches of their preseasons as the Junior Representatives gear up for their first round of action on the weekend. Sixties and Forty20 launch into an episode of The Tip Sheet centred on those two themes with Joey Grima running point on all the news out of the juniors.

Firstly though the boys take a good look at the rules changes and adjustments announced this week as the NRL walks back rulings around the controversial ‘Six Again’ change as well as the glut of free interchanges that plagued the game in 2021. On the whole both Sixties and Forty20 agree the NRL applied a large dose of common sense across the board here.

From there is is all action as Sixties gives a status update on both the NRL and NRLW before Joey Grima takes a brief break from a crazy schedule to preview Round 1 of the Junior Representatives.

So strap yourselves in as we hit the ‘GO’ on the first action of 2022!

Our thanks to Joey for taking out the time for this in a ridiculously busy week. Also I’d encourage people to get out to the games. It’s a very good standard of footy and if you’ve been hanging out to get back to live games, then look no further.

HM will be a cracker game as the Roosters squad is chock full of NSW reps and Freddy Fittler’s young bloke is in the backrow playing a year up. Very interested to see Blaise Talagi & Sam Tuivati’s progress this year after a great seasons last year.

Same her. I’d had the tip that the Roosters had a crack team and would challenge. Parra are well coached and have quite a few players to watch. I won’t preempt now by going through the list and tipping each one’s strength. I’ll let their match performance do the talking. But yes, given the age of Blaize and Sam last year and their form, you are right to mention them.
