The Tip Sheet – 2021 Episode 2: Special Guest Greg Monaghan Parra Leagues President

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

Greg Monaghan joins The Tip Sheet for the second episode of the year to brief the boys on the state of the Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC). Greg, the president of the PLC board, walks Sixties and Forty20 through the turbulent times of 2020 and explains how the club is powering forwards.

The trio then speak on the community outreach initiatives that the club drives every year and how the club was able to minimise the impact of COVID-19 on their support for these programs. To wrap things up, the discussion turns to footy and finally the upcoming PLC elections where all eligible voting members are encouraged to participate.

Sixties drops all of the hottest news from training in the last week as Oregon Kaufusi roars and a pair of wingers soar. Kaufusi was dominant in a highly charged opposed session as he gave coaches a timely reminder of his talents as the battle for bench spots reaches its zenith with just a month left to the season kickoff.

Blake Ferguson and Maika Sivo are looking in imperious touch as both flankers look to bounce back from frustrating individual campaigns in 2020. Sixties recounts how Sivo brutally flattened Jordan Rankin in a near carbon copy of his iconic trampling of James Tedesco while Ferguson continues to ascend to his 2019 best.

To wrap up the second show of the season the boys recap all of the junior representative action from the weekend. With all three teams falling to a first start loss, Forty20 and Sixties break down where the teams will be looking to improve ahead of Round 2. That leads in neatly to the previews of tomorrow’s games and the conclusion of the episode.

Listening to this Podcast the Eels have such a great story to sell at the moment.

When you think about what we have been through over the last decade or more it is startling to see the turn around. I am not just talking about on the field but the whole package

Just things like sponsors wanting to come on board, players wanting to come to the club and on the field the Eels being regulars in finals footy.

There is a long way still to go and 1986 seems like a distant memory but we are on the right trajectory.

To all our fans, the biggest fan base in the NRL, have patience and support your team and the administration that has got us this far
