Team List Tuesday – Raise Your Radradras Edition

NRL Team List

The Eels gave the Cowboys an almighty scare in their Townsville fortress before the late sin-binning of Corey Norman usurped all of their momentum at the death and allowed the Cowboys to skip out to a lead that really didn’t reflect how tight the contest was throughout the second half. As expected, Brad Arthur has named an unchanged line up for our return fixture against the Dogs. Tim Mannah is still one week away from returning from a fractured shoulder, as per the club’s injury report released today, so the question of who makes way for him is postponed for one more round of footy. Wenty turned in their worst effort of the season by far against the Tigers on Sunday, which means no one came close to forcing Arthur’s hand for selection in first grade.

Intrust Super Premiership Team List

It was an awful weekend for the Magpies. Not only were they pumped 40-18 by the Tigers in what can only be described as a lethargic effort, they lost gun forward Kelepi Tanginoa for 12-14 weeks to syndesmosis of the ankle. Kaysa Pritchard is also absent this week due to an ankle sprain which means Joey Grima is forced to reshuffle his team. Joseph Ualesi and James Hasson move into the starting pack while Ryan Morgan, Adrian Ha’aagana and Jack Madden are called up to form part of an extended bench.

Holden Cup Team List

Continuing with the trend of horrible Round 8 results for the Eels, our Holden Cup team was positively thrashed by the Cowboys as they ran out 54-12 victors. In spite of the scoreline, or perhaps because of limited resources, Luke Burt has opted for a sole change to the team that lost last week with James Gammidge replacing the injured Atini Gafa on the wing. With our SG Ball squad also losing on the weekend (to South Sydney) and as such bowing out of the finals race in that grade, look for a number of young and talented kids – albeit a smidgen raw – to push up into the 20s in the coming weeks.

I’m personally worried about our boys. If the team plays well, then good but with the fines / breach hanging over us, and when it does come out I hope they can hold it together.
I just hope the NRL tells us exactly what has been found.
    I don’t trust Todd Greenburg one bit….

Regardless of how the Bulldogs are faring, it’s always a tough ask for the Eels. This is yet another big test. Will now have played both the Cows AND Dogs twice in 9 rounds. Crazy draw!
