Special thanks to our field correspondent Hamish for making the trip to Canberra this week!

First Half

The Eels get on the board first with a solo effort from try-scoring sensation, William Kei. Kei jumped out of dummy half to score his 14th try of the season.

Try scored by Kei. Conversion unsuccessful by Schneider.

Parra lead 4-0

Luke Sommerton quickly makes it a two score lead for the Eels by throwing what Hamish describes to me as the biggest dummy ever.

Try scored by Sommerton. Conversion successful by Schneider.

Parra lead 10-0

The Raiders then hit back via their prop in the #10, Alexavier Punou. A bit over 15min of action so far in the Harold Matthews if Hamish is to be trusted.

Try scored by Punou for the Raiders. Conversion successful.

Raiders trail 6-10

Canberra make it back-to-back strikes through their big men as their #8, Matthew Dragisic scores next to the posts.

Try scored by Dragisic for the Raiders. Conversion successful.

Raiders lead 12-10

Matt Doorey has laid on a bell-ringer, driving a Canberra forward back a good 10m!

That man, Doorey, is right in the thick of it a set later when he crosses the white stripe after an offload from Mark Tepu-Smith. The Eels reclaim the lead.

Try scored by Doorey. Conversion unsuccessful by Schneider.

Parra lead 14-12

John Paul Nohra provides the difference in the shade of half time as he makes a big bust and then offloads to his winger, Joshua Boumelhem, who scores!

Try scored by Boumelhem. Conversion unsuccessful by Schneider.

Half Time

Parramatta Eels 18 lead Canberra Raiders 12

Second Half

On the back of some great play from Dylan Brown – who I am informed is having a very good game – Matt Doorey scores his second try of the game.

Try scored by Doorey. Conversion unsuccessful by Schneider (and he is filthy on himself about it)

Parra lead 22-12

Dallas King is in now for the Eels and he has done Kyle Schneider a favour by scoring it under the uprights.

Try scored by King. Conversion successful by Brown (oops, looks like Schneider is either off or sacked himself).

Parra lead 28-12

Schneider pegs back a couple of his missed goals now as he echoes the efforts of King before him and scored under the posts.

Try scored by Schneider. Conversion successful by King.

Parra lead 34-12

The Raiders finally get on the board in the second half their #19 Charlie Woolford scores next to the posts.

Try scored by Woolford for the Raiders. Conversion successful.

Raiders trail 18-34

They make it two on the trot and liven things up in the game when their fullback Jacob Church scores with 11min to go.

Try scored by Church for the Raiders. Conversion unsuccessful.

Raiders trail 22-34

Hamish reports to me that the game is breaking down a bit in the final stanza, lots of scrappy play. The Eels get a penalty in range for a shot at two points and decide to slow the tempo down with under 5min to go and have a crack at the shot.

Penalty conversion attempt unsuccessful by Brown.

First Half

Please note that I will be traveling to Penrith to cover the ISP game so while Hamish we be keeping me up to date with the first half of the SG Ball, I will not be able to post the scores here until I arrive at Pepper Stadium. Thanks for your patience guys!

The Raiders get first blood on the scoreboard as Sato Ketia-Opo goes in next to the posts.

Try scored by Ketia-Opo for the Raiders. Conversion successful.

Raiders lead 6-0

The Eels hit back quickly as THE DRESLER goes in. The Big Man has made a habit of crossing the white stripe. That came on the back of a superb break from Ethan Parry, Hamish informs me.

Try scored by THE DRESLER. Conversion successful by Turnbull.

Eels lock it up at 6-all

Alex Seve is in next on the back of some quality ballwork from Tui Afualo. Ethan Parry is apparently balling out with at least 3 linebreaks to his name.

Try scored by Seve. Conversion successful by Turnbull.

Eels lead 12-6

Sebastian Kris goes in for the home team as they look to level the scores.

Try scored by Kris for the Raiders. Conversion successful.

Raiders lock it up at 12-all

Canberra pick up a penalty on half time and with no time on the clock decide to take the shot at goal.

Penalty conversion attempt successful.

Half Time

Canberra Raiders 14 lead Parramatta Eels 12

Second Half

Josh Curran is the first man in after oranges. Good reward for the tireless backrower.

Try scored by Curran. Conversion unsuccessful by Turnbull.

Parra lead 16-14

Vea Tapa is the next Eel to score, pushing through four defenders on the goal line. Powerful effort from the young rake.

Try scored by Tapa. Conversion successful by Turnbull.

Parra lead 22-14

The forwards continue to pillage the Raiders in the second half as the captain Josh Carr gets on the board now. This one comes from a grubber kick from Seve.

Try scored by Carr. Conversion unsuccessful by Turnbull.

Parra lead 26-14

Michael Tupou is playing a blinder from the bench for the 18s. Carving them up around the middle and he picks up a try for his efforts.

Try scored by Tupou. Conversion successful by Turnbull.

Parra lead 32-14

The Raiders finally stem the bleeding when their #19 goes over with 8min on the clock.

Try scored by #19 for the Raiders. Conversion unsuccessful.

Raiders trail 18-32

Parra quickly re-establish their lead as some quick hands from a scrum win sees Noel Auckafolau cross in the corner with 4min on the clock.

Try scored by Auckafolau. Conversion unsuccessful by Turnbull.

Parra lead 36-18

The home team score a final consolation try via Sharmah Schmidt (what a bloody name, I love it!) and this one is touched down under the black dot.

Try scored by Schmidt for the Raiders. Conversion successful.
