Eels Contract Extensions – Alvaro, Pritchard and Twal

The future stocks in the Parramatta Eels forward pack just got a little brighter with the announcement of contract extensions for a trio of our brightest and most promising forwards, Daniel Alvaro, Kaysa Pritchard and Alex Twal.

Kaysa Pritchard continues to shine during conditioning drills.

Daniel, who continues to impress since making his debut in 2015, would be a popular signing with the Blue and Gold Army. Kaysa, who made his first NRL appearance in 2013, is both quick and talented and seems to have overcome his injury issues. Alex Twal, while yet to make his first grade debut, has long been earmarked as a future Parramatta star. All three have been standouts during the preseason, prompting head coach Brad Arthur to heap praise on the trio for their attitude, dedication and preparation.

Daniel and Kaysa have extended their contracts to the end of 2018, while Alex has extended his to the end of the 2017 season.

I am thrilled with the signings especially young Daniel I am so happy for and he will not let the club or the supporters down, mark my words he is going to be one of the top props in the game.

Happy to see all three extend however I have commented on here before about my belief in Alvaro. He is a real workhorse and gives it everything so I am really happy for him and the blue and Gold.

Alvaro has a brilliant attitude and won plenty of admirers in the footy department for his both his on field and off field application.

More great positive moves from the club with the extension of these 3 young promising players. As the saying goes ” Rome wasn’t built in a day” , BA / DA and the retention & recruitment team are well & truly putting the building blocks in place.

A couple of good signings. I’m not too fussed re signing Pritchard. The bloke better have taken a drop in salary to include the massive bandage bill?
We have good depth for the 9 jersey but maybe the price was good for the eels?
Looking forward to seeing how Álvaro and Twal go this season. Both are solid young players and Twal should get a taste of the big time this year.

Kaysa has long been regarded as a future superstar at the Eels. Everyone that I’ve spoken to around the club talks about a range of abilities and qualities that makes his success a no-brainer. Don’t forget his Under 20s Origin selection. Of course, injury has been the determiner thus far. The interesting thing about Kaysa is that despite these injuries, the bloke plays without fear. He thrives on the bigger blokes targeting him. It will be great to see him get an injury-free season under his belt.

Hope he can do that sixties. He has a few tricks out of dummy half and at training has been right up there in the speed dept. as per the opinion piece I wrote on our hookers a month or so ago, I expect Kaysa to be pushing pears for the 9 during the term of his next contract.

He’s been talked up as a future superstar for several years now.
It’s great he is fantastic on the training paddock but he has been great on the sidelines as well. I just hope he was cheap! Three years is way too long a contract for a bloke who is extremely injury prone. Fingers crossed he can put together a full season at some point?

Brilliant stuff, big fan of alvaro and I like the prospect of twal. Kaysa although I haven’t seen much of him seems like the real deal by all reports from pre season blogs. Fingers crossed none of our players pick up serious injuries this year.
