Parramatta pick themselves up and get back in the saddle for Round 2 as they look to tame the Broncos on Thursday night. Both teams are nursing bruises from ugly first up losses as Sixties and Forty20 look at who is set for the bigger bounce back factor this week.
The Eels have lost J’maine Hopgood to a suspension but have been bolstered by the early return of Josh Addo-Carr. Is that enough to tip the scales towards the Blue & Gold? The boys look at what the Eels need to do to get back on track (spoilers – it is a lot!) and snag a key upset against the reigning premiers.
Another short week means the Junior Representatives find themselves rolled into another combination podcast as the shows looks at a huge slate of games against the Rabbitohs on Saturday!

Barnett ✅️
It’s an ❌ for me.
I’m with the boys, for the right price, fine. But older forward with a lot of miles coming off an ACL is “proceed with caution” territory.
Mind you, the reports are worrying about the $$$ we are allegedly offering… I usually take contract offer reports with a grain of salt, but this is MON we’re talking about, and he has a track record of failures and poor due diligence.
Any idea what’s happened to Penisini for him to be dropped ?
If Samrani actually plays centre (instead of wing and Bailey moves to centre) we are a joke. Samrani is a poor lateral defender (lack of agility) and struggles with defensive reads. He will get smoked by broncos centres. Bailey needs to be at centre for his speed (even though his defence is fairly poor as well).
As an aside, surely parra are scouring for a blue chip young centre and winger. Conor votano at knights is a good young player, dogs have heaps of young backs. We have Jake Tago and Samrani… you’d think a potential first grade spot at Parra is better than reserve grade at other clubs but Blake Wilson brushed us years ago and we haven’t got good young backs in for some time
With the new ridiculous 6 again era the onus is even more on stars to harness momentum and win games. Our stars are few and far between and when they are ice cold like last week we don’t have much hope.
Let’s hope the team actually put in this week and follow a game plan. That starts with the leaders – Moses, junior, Williams etc
