Pezet is a great signing. Jnr Paulo is closing in on being an all time eels middle forward I love the bloke.

Eels building momentum for 26 already and the haters need to look back at Jason Ryles 2025 roster plans and just “trust the plan” …

We’ve all seen how his roster decisions generally work out and Jason knows what’s best more than any of us, full faith in our coaches recruitment decisions

The eels are in a lot better position than we were coming into 2025 – Pezet is a nice addition & De Belin will work nicely in our system too!

How does Mark Oneill still have a job with us? He is a tigers man and has demonstrated no ability in the area he works. How could he not secure Pezet for longer deal if he was any good? Yes Ryles has some connections and doing well to build a good roster (thank goodness).

Seriously, there has to be better options in recruitment and retention than Oneill.

Are you saying Ryles had no involvement with the Pezet signing. You sound like one of the “if it’s good player, Ryles signed him” if it’s a player you don’t like, it’s MONS fault.

Eels need to just pay matto out a certain percentage of his remaining 600k and cut him. He’s a net negative and has been so for a while – looks like he is more interested in posting shirtless Instagram photos and off field promo these days

Only brad arthur would put us in this position with Matterson when he had problems at the Tigers, Roosters and previously at Parramatta jnrs he whinged. Only brad arthur would give him this outrageous contract

100% agree on just doing what’s needed to move Matterson on. Either way we are paying him to add no real value to the club if he just sits in reserve grade and plays once in a blue moon. Pay him out and get him off our books if that can be done.
Nearly one of the worst deals we’ve done in a long time his last 2 years his practically been paid really well to sit in reserve grade or have regular random stints off the field let’s just put him in the past

Tonga v New Zealand first half, Ioni six missed tackles
I guess the question is he a 6 or a 1 has been settled.

I don’t think this internationals will affect his price, clubs are looking for him at fullback not 6, if he had a shocker series in the 1 jersey that might be a different story.
