Could Isaiah Iongi make an early return and give the Parramatta Eels an early look at their first choice spine for 2026? The breakout star was named in the Eels’ extended squad on Team List Tuesday and could force an exciting reshuffle if he is cleared to return on Saturday night against the Rabbitohs. The Tip Sheet looks at how who makes way in Iongi’s hypothetical return and how or if it could change the Eels.

The only time the knights have looked dangerous this year in attack was during the preseason trials where you saw ponga and Sharpe interchanging their roles and positions in attack, constantly seeing Sharpe pushed out to that last receiver common for fullbacks.

I think an idea like that, not confining everyone too specific and ordinary roles in attack is the way ryles is steering and can be heavily effective when connections build up. We’ve already seen glimpses of that style attack with moses the half back bring pushed to 2nd and 3rd level on a heap of right side sweeps.

What has made a difference with our sweeps is the speed Joash adds to it. The same with Longi. While we might have missed Gutherson’s brains and we have his speed is not the same. Our back line for next year and spine is looking very exciting.

Gutherson is s for brains when it came to contract negotiations. He treated the club with great disrespect and this filtered through to other players.

If Gutherson was wiped from the history of the club i would be bothered

I don’t John is correct that the bunker got it wrong.

The ref got it wrong. He said strip, moses tried to confirm the ruling as a strip and said it wasn’t a strip.

    And challenged

The ref then went upstairs but he didn’t say check for a strip

So the bunker did what the ref asked
