Not sure how positive I feel with our lack of middle power on the bench fellas this week. Hopefully I’m wrong. I don’t see how only Luca and Matt Doorey offers us enough punch for middle rotation. I Wish Matto was added to the middle rotation to replace Sam Tuivaiti.

I will throw a controversial comment in here: Matto is actually probably in better form than Hopgood at present. Plus Matto probably fills in better at prop if required. Dylan Walker is now our clubs best lock forward it appears as well.

Maybe we are all missing something though and Jason Ryles is giving guys like Matt Doorey and Samrani game time because he is developing them for his long term vision, knowing we can’t win a comp this year anyway. Jason probably sees a lot of upside potential in some players, and is investing game minutes into them, knowing the long term ROI is higher than prioritising older players who may not be with us in future.

I don’t get what ryles sees in doorey – he offers little if anything and it’s amazing that he continues to get picked. Matto must have really pissed off ryles.

This is a huge week for parra – if they want to make anything of this season they simply have to win. Anything less is bleak

Ron we need a win but dolphins are dangerous in attack. They could easily pile on points on us here if we don’t win the middle and give them easy field position. Thats why I feel the light bench rotation is maybe not ideal.

    Gents, thank you.
I will need a second blood pressure tablet tonight. Just the mention of Butler spiked my blood pressure.
I sort of get why Ryles didn’t go to town on the adjudicating, he did however make it clear that he if was to unleash, he would’ve unloaded to fine level. He said he doesn’t have the runs on the board to be that coach just yet. My interpretation and given his team is running last is that a rant would create a backlash from the media at a time where he has bigger fish fry at this point of his career.
But it’s coming, we know Ryles as a player, when the time comes, Ryles won’t miss. We won’t be waiting 11 years for Ryles to cut loose.
And, the dumb arse who said “get a room” after Ryles was complementing his captain after he was asked to comment, Ryles has his number, when the time comes, that disrespectful knob will regret the day.
Can you imagine that knob said that to Bellamy, Stuart, Robinson or Bennett?
It does reinforce Ryle’s decision to hold back.
Sixties, you answered your own question, Moses is the key to success and the clock is ticking, I would be totally against signing Fafita if we had won a premiership in the last 5 years. And I hate losing potential first grade juniors but the reality is, we will never win a premiership unless we surrounded Moses with proven talent while he’s in his prime, if an elite player becomes available in a position we clearly need, then the club would be negligent not to pursue that option. Our club is not in a position to gamble, we need to go all in now and hope to keep the cream of our juniors.
Big Sam, boy, we really can’t have nice things. Sad for the big fella.
Tigers, let them bask in the sun, if I’m confident that if team will crash and burn, it’s this sorry mob.
And clearly project Woody is over. Sixties you summed it up perfectly.

I failed to mention, mate Sixties, you broke the golden rule of eating crap. You never ever want to know how the sausage is made. If it tastes good then it is good.
Skinless hot dogs are a crime against humanity, you never remove crap from crap, it just becomes crappier.
Sixties, please don’t ever Google how meat pies are made, I could never respect you as a vegetarian.
And I don’t jest, vegetarians are banned from visiting my home. You eat meat or you hit the street.

Think we definately need to have a serious look at Fifita. At his current price we can all agree absolutely not but if the titans are desperate to have him off there books and will chip in some freight 750-800k is definately worth a look. His never once played with an elite half inside him In his career in club footy and I’d love to see him hitting holes of Moses or Galvin if we manage to get him. He is easily the most destructive edge forward on his day and has the ability to tear teams apart and getting out of his comfort zone in Queensland might be a great thing for him to push his career forward. Our current back row stocks arnt that positive bar maybe Latu and Samrani who I think will be a project player. Our other potential guys are sg ball players who are realistically 2-3 years away

    1. Prometheus

Yep I agree . This is the sort of player combined with what we have and the right direction in coaching that wins you titles. Eels haven’t won a thing in 40 years, take a punt , buy him and see how we go. Some supporters carry on like it’s their money. We can’t go any worse than what we are.

    2. Ron

Agreed. We have the worst second rowers in the Comp. We desperately need someone with talent on the left to run a line and keep inside pressure honest. I can overlook David’s defensive laziness if he is focused and destructive. Panthers and roosters wanted him last year. They may come in for him again. He’s well worth 700-800k
