The Tip Sheet – 2024 Ep 69: A New Coach, Another Debut & An NRLW Signing

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

As Frank Herbert once famously wrote about the Parramatta Eels, the news must flow. Flow it does this week as The Tip Sheet covers a mountain of topics including the club’s new coach, Lorenzo Mulitalo’s debut and the latest from both the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership and the NRLW.

Sixties, Forty20 and Clint unpack all the latest from Parradise before getting up to speed with the happenings in the NRL and State of Origin. Brad Arthur has landed a new gig in England while Jarome Luai had an unconvential scare in camp. Are the Maroons on the backfoot ahead of the Game 3 decider? The boys discuss the atmosphere across either side of the border and how Michael Maguire and Billy Slater have their squads trending.

In a disastrous season, these promotions throughout the grades are the only thing us fans can really enjoy.

I am not so sure about Lorenzo but I hope he proves me wrong. I do believe Tago has a bit to offer as a low end top 30, back up. Hopefully he puts his hand up over these last 8 weeks for a contract. Can cover wing or centre and would be very cheap.

I would love to see Twidle get a call up to cup. Admittedly I don’t see Flegg play very often at all but in the highlights he looks way to good for this grade. The same for Tuivaiti as well. Especially considering he is top 30 next year.

Interesting to see Tupou in Cup. I haven’t seen much of him. I recall him playing a game or 2 last season. Does anyone know if the club see a future in him?
