Score Update Blog – Jersey Flegg Cup Round 4: Eels vs Wests Tigers

With thanks to Parrathruandthru who’s out at Cabramatta, we will bring you the score updates in today’s Jersey Flegg clash between Parra and the Wests Tigers.

First Half

Wests Tigers are first on the board with a try in the corner after an Eels error on a last tackle play.

Coversion unsuccessful.

Tigers 4 lead Eels nil. Four minutes gone.

Parra replies with a try from a cross field kick – possibly Dom DeStradis.

Conversion successful from Josh Lynn.

Eels 6 lead Tigers 4 after 13 minutes.

Big play from Josh Lynn. The Tigers drop an Eels kick. Parra feed the scrum and Lynn takes the odds of kicking a grubber into the in goal on the first tackle. He wins the race to the ball. He then converts his own try!

Eels 12 lead Tigers 4 after 17 minutes

The Eels have a try off a grubber kick disallowed but they soon get the prize when a cut out pass from Josh Lynn puts Charlie Scorovi across in the corner. Lynn on target again with his sideline conversion.

Half time – Eels 18 lead Tigers 4

Second Half

The Tigers have a call go their way as a 40/20 is given though it looked to hit the sideline on the full. Thankfully it doesn’t cost Parra.

Lynn delivers a great short pass to put Hunter through the line. Pryke backs up to take an inside ball and score next to the posts. Surprisingly Lynn misses the conversion as his kick strikes the post.

Eels 22 lead Tigers 4. Five minutes gone second half

Lynn kicks a 40/20. Now a couple of errors from Parra spoil some scoring opportunities. The Tigers make them pay by scoring off a chip kick behind the line. They miss an easy conversion.

Eels 22 lead Tigers 8 with 16 minutes remaining.

The cost of errors is rammed home. Parra drop a Tigers kick. Wests now go back to back with a try in the corner. The conversion bounces in off the posts.

Eels 22 lead Tigers 14 with 13 minutes remaining.

It’s getting ugly. Another tough call against the Eels as a kick into the player is ruled six again and the Tigers score next to the posts. Conversion successful.

Eels 22 lead Tigers 20 with nine minutes remaining.

The Eels are now done. No possession as the Tigers score in the corner off three consecutive sets. Conversion unsuccessful.

Tigers 24 Eels 22. One minute remaining.

Some tough calls go against them but the Eels also contribute to this capitulation.

    The coach or coaches of this team need to be sacked . 0 and 4 start not acceptable add the nsw cup coach .

    This team still full of good players not sure why they are so terrible .
