The Tip Sheet – 2023 Ep 48: Top 8 On The Line As Parra & Manly Go Around Again

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes!

The Parramatta Eels are chasing a 4th straight win and their first berth in the Top 8 in 2023 this weekend. The Tip Sheet looks at how a Moses and Paulo-less Eels can take down the Manly Sea Eagles – who are also missing a couple of stars.

Brad Arthur has tasked Ryan Matterson and Daejarn Asi with the responsibility of steering the Eels around the park on Saturday. Sixties and Forty20 look at how the newest iteration of the spine will operate. Matterson wasn’t the only Eel to make a return, Joe Ofahengaue is back to boost the forwards while official club media has Shaun Laune pegged as an outside chance of playing. The boys talk about how both players will impact the team.

The NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg squads have both been on tough runs in recent weeks. Sixties and Forty20 discuss the why of it all and what they can do to turn it around this week.

It’s just a matter of some key outs Electric. Elevations to NSW Cup (which might mean Sanders soon too) haven’t helped. I’m expecting some improvement the next two rounds

He hasn’t been named in any grade and isn’t listed in any injury reports for some time. Prior to that he was being omitted from NSW Cup.

Ken, we spoke about this recently on a news episode and haven’t heard more details as yet. I’m not sure whether he is any faster than Sean Russell or Bailey Simonsson and he’s certainly not any bigger.

  2. Shaun

I’m actually looking forward to this week’s game even with Moses and Brown missing. I have heard talk the Schuster is a weak link but I expect Parra are not taking home as lightly as some others seem to be. I expect it will be a close game but I’m cautiously confident of a win. RCG first try scorer. Sivo to score a double.

Manly have a big mobile pack which only thrives when they are given room to build momentum either through low energy defence or repeat sets via errors/penalties, Most halves will thrive on a pack rolling forward,Schuster’s party tricks will come into play. So there’s the challenge, frustrate them and we win.

  4. Joe blo

The bush coach needs to attack his son’s slow as fark kicking game. If anyone should know its the bush coach. Pressure him every time he kicks and we win

  5. Tanky

13 missed tackles that’s huge I know manly were shit but we made it happen beginning with hands at 9 excellent very precise
