The Tip Sheet – 2021 Episode 12: Joey’s Massive Mail Bag

The Tip Sheet is also available on Spotify and iTunes.

The Dragons upset the Eels to hand them their first loss of the season and the boys wade into the post-mortem to see where it went wrong for the blue & gold. Credit is given to the visiting team and their coach, Anthony Griffin, for delivering a concerned team effort that won the day on enthusiasm and aggression. Sixties and Forty20 revisit where the Eels tripped themselves over and how they can avoid that in the future.

Joey Grima then puts on a show within a show as he wraps up the regular season of the junior representatives and then tackles a massive mail bag. It continues the rare opportunity that both TCT and listeners have to gain insight into both football operations and fundamental mechanics and theory of the game.

The remainder of the show is filled out with the rest of the action from the weekend and the upcoming games in the Jersey Flegg, NSW Cup and NRL. In particular, the recap of the sparking 40-8 victory over the Dragons in the NSW Cup ignites a spirited discussion about the young talents progressing in reserve grade.

Rev, Michael Oldfield would be more likely to get a gig. He’s in the full time squad and is a starting centre in reggies. Lafai is on the bench.
